On offer is the opportunity to be trained by like-minded people who advocate safety, diversity and integrity while working hands on as a Passenger Bus Driver with our customer in WA.

As a Passenger Bus Driver, you are responsible for providing safe transport to the public, ensuring efficient operations in accordance with road and state regulations and working in accordance with Path Transit operational procedures.

Excellence – Are you an excellent communicator, with strong literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills? To serve our passengers you will need to understand and converse in English, read maps, calculate change, understand timetables, and operate two-way radios

Commitment – Do you understand the importance of working to health and safety procedures, to ensure the safety of yourself and others? A fundamental part of the role is to understand and apply KD Path Transit operating procedures and systems.

Collaboration – Are you committed to working as a team to safely deliver superior customer service?

Pre-Requisites

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening and an eye test)
  • Ability to complete a National Police Check (no more than 3 months old)
  • Hold or ability to gain a Certificate of Copy of traffic infringement (no more than 3 months old)
  • Hold a valid WA Driver’s Licence
  • Hold or ability to gain a HR License (training can be provided)
  • Ability to complete Shift Work/Split Shifts.
  • Ability to supply a minimum of two reference checks (Referees must be aged 20 years or older).
  • Living or working in WA
  • An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen

Shift Work

Shift work is any work schedule that falls outside the hours of 0700 and 1800. Shift work can include afternoon, evening, night, and early morning shifts, as well as fixed or rotating schedules. Shift lengths can vary between 4 – 12 hours

Examples of possible shifts include:

06:00 – 14:00 | 06:00 – 18:00 |01:00 – 17:30 |

13:00 – 21:00 | 18:00 – 02:00 | 20:00 – 04:00| 22:00 – 05:00

– A split shift is where you complete a shift in the morning then come back later in the day to complete another shift.

 

Employment Opportunity

The successful candidates will be provided with the opportunity for industry placement as a permanent part time employee with Path Transit to continue their training and gain a career.

Path Transit commenced operations in Perth in 1996.

We currently operate public and school bus services in the north-eastern and eastern suburbs from bus depots located in Malaga, Bayswater, Welshpool and Kalamunda. Path Transit operates the three circle line route services in one of Western Australia’s premier regional towns, Kalgoorlie.
